Senator Phil Williams had been scheduled to host the December meeting of the Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce – however, he was unable to attend and at his request, Senator Del Marsh representing the 12th District, consisting of Calhoun and St. Clair counties, stepped in to host the event.
Senator Marsh serves on a number of committees, including Confirmations, Finance & Taxation, Education, Judiciary and Tourism & Marketing.
During his presentation the senator covered a variety of topics – among them Internet Sales Tax, tourism, Medicaid expansion, education and job creation
Afterwards Senator Marsh took questions from the audience and addressed a number of concerns put forth by the residents of the county.
