A seven year old is dead after apparently drowning in a private pool Friday in Floyd County
According to Assistant Rome City Police Chief Debbie Burnett, the little girl was playing and went into the deep end of the pool at a home in Garden Lakes. First responders tried to revive her but were unsuccessful. The child was visiting the home in the 3000 block of Garden Lakes Boulevard. She has been identified as Cathy Nguyen of Rome.
The investigation is continuing.
