Several Arrested In DeKalb County Following Four Month Investigation

Several individuals have been arrested on drug charges in Ft Payne and DeKalb County, after an investigation lasting approximately four months.
According to the Ft Payne Times-Journal Sheriff Jimmy Harris said the investigation was led by agents of the DeKalb County Drug Task Force, Ft Payne Police Department, the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office, the Drug Enforcement Agency and Alcohol Beverage Control Board along with United States Marshals.

The agencies executed search warrants, and arrest warrants, throughout the area – resulting in the arrests of: Antonio Lockett for Conspiracy to Traffic and Unlawful Distribution of a Controlled Substance / Brad McElrath on two counts of Unlawful Distribution of a Controlled Substance / Troy Johnson on two counts of Unlawful Distribution of a Controlled Substance / Zachery Croft on two counts of Unlawful Distribution of the Controlled Substance / Noel Croft on one count of the Unlawful Distribution of a Controlled Substance / Octaves Nash for Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia – and April Wiggins for one count of Unlawful Distribution of a Controlled Substance and the Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance in addition to Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Sheriff Harris said a search of the home shared by Wiggins and Nash – turned up approximately 100 controlled pills along with an undetermined amount of synthetic marijuana otherwise known as “Spice”, in addition to methamphetamine, scales and one firearm; Harris went on to say that the operation was “just the beginning” – adding that efforts are being ramped up to rid DeKalb County of drugs.
