Several individuals were arrested locally on drug charges over the weekend.

On Sunday, Rakeem Williams, age 26 of Centre, Matthew Allen Scott, 36 of Crossville and an 18 year old resident of Rainsville, Amy Sierra Prestwood – were charged with the Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  Williams was additionally charged with Promoting Prison Contraband 2nd Degree.  All three remain lodged in the Cherokee County Detention Center – with bond for Scott and Prestwood set at $3,000 each; bond for Williams was set at $5,500.

On Saturday, Pamela Michelle Wiggins, age 39 and Christina Gayle Filmore, age 36 – both of Chickasaw – were each charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance and with Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

They remain in the Cherokee County Detention center with bond set at $3,000 each.
