The National Weather Service says strong to severe storms will be possible across Alabama tonight into Friday morning.  The strongest storms could have winds of up to 60 mph, and a possibility for tornados – with a better chance across south Alabama.  Heavy rainfall will be possible, with some areas seeing up to two inches.

The Weather Service in Huntsville said that the risk for severe weather in north Alabama is on the lower side, but stronger storms will be possible from 3:00am – 3:00pm Friday.

Hazards could include locally heavy rainfall and gusty winds with a low threat for a tornado – winds outside of any storms will include gusts of up to 35mph.

WEIS Radio will keep you updated with the latest information throughout the day.
