WOODVILLE – Malaya Shireman scattered a pair of earned runs on four hits with two walks and nine strikeouts. She was also 2-for-4 at the plate with a home run, a triple and three RBIs in leading the Gaylesville Lady Trojans to a 15-2 softball win at Woodville on Monday.
Chelsey Cagle went 2-for-3 with an inside-the-park home run and two RBIs. Anna Hartline was 2-for-4 with three RBIs, Sierra Holbrook went 3-for-5 with a double and two RBIs. Peyton Bright was 2-for-4 with a double and a RBI. Charity Green, Andreah Calvert, Shonda Epps, and Emman Givens all had hits.
Gaylesville is scheduled to host Gaston this afternoon at 4 p.m.
