Shoppers Prepare for Cyber Monday After Record-Breaking Black Friday

iStock/Thinkstock(NEW YORK) — After a record-breaking holiday shopping weekend, Cyber Monday is expected to hit even more highs with some of the best deals of the season.

Black Friday exceeded expectations in mobile sales with a record $1.2 billion in revenue, up 33 percent from last year, according to a report from Adobe Digital Insights, indicating just how much consumers could spend on Monday.

Some shoppers were already browsing sales on Sunday as retailers put out early Cyber Monday deals. Amazon had deep discounts for electronics and Target was offering 15 percent off nearly everything online, on top of other sales.

How can you get the best Cyber Monday deals?

If you don’t buy something right away and leave it in your cart, retailers may email you additional discounts to sell you. Also by clearing your internet browser history, you could see the lowest prices on certain items.

As you prepare to shop Cyber Monday however, experts urge that you should avoid public Wi-Fi as it can leave you vulnerable to hackers who want your credit card information.
