Generally speaking, showing up for court drunk and armed with a knife is not a very bright idea, but that’s exactly why a Centre man was arrested on the spot at the Cherokee County Courthouse on Tuesday.
Sheriff Jeff Shaver says that 54 year old Donald Keener entered the Courthouse at approximately 9:00 a.m. armed with a large knife and under the influence of alcohol.
Court Security Officers detained Keener and disarmed him.
Keener was arrested for public intoxication and transported to the Cherokee County Detention Center.
