A single-vehicle accident occurred on Highway 68 in Cedar Bluff at approximately 12:15pm Thursday.
Reports indicate the vehicle, a Chevy 1500 pickup left the roadway and struck a power pole – causing damage to the pole but not knocking it down.
Cedar Bluff police and firefighters responded along with Floyd EMS. Cherokee Electric was also called to make repairs to the pole and check power lines.
The driver was checked out at the scene by medics and released.
