Several passersby called in Friday morning, to report a single-vehicle accident taking place on 48 between Highway 68 and Sand Rock school; those reports started coming in around 6:40.
It appeared the driver had lost control, with the vehicle coming to rest in a ditch.
However, as first responders arrived at that location, they quickly realized the wreck must have occurred at an earlier time. No driver could be found in the area, and they began making efforts to locate the owner and remove the vehicle from the scene.
