A single vehicle accident in Cedar Bluff took out power in the area of Highway 9 north and Summerplace Road on Friday night. According to reports the vehicle struck a power pole snapping it in half. Cherokee Electric crews were called to the scene as power was out in the area for an extended period of time. Alabama Highway 9 in the area was shutdown while crews worked to replace the pole.
Cedar Bluff Police, Cedar Bluff Firefighters, Cherokee EMS and Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the scene. Firefighters and Co-Op crews were on the scene for well over six hours.
