Six Arrested on Controlled Substance Charges Thursday in Cherokee County

Several people were jailed on controlled substance charges in Cherokee County Thursday.

Between 2:30 and 3:30 that afternoon three individuals, Michael Shelby Shropshire, age 30, and 19 year old Savannah Grace Smith, both of Centre, along with 33 year old Amber Nicole Padgett of a Lafayette, Georgia address were booked into jail, charged with two counts each of Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance and one count each of Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia;

Shortly before 6:00pm, 42 year old Danny Joe Segers of Cedar Bluff was arrested – charged with the Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance, and the Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia;

And just after 10:00 that night two Gaylesville residents 24 year old Amanda Nicole Bradley and 32 year old Michael Edward Peed, were placed under arrest and charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia – along with Attempting to Elude.

Bond for Shropshire, Smith and Padgett was set at $6,000 each – for Segers, bond was set at $3,000 – and for Bradley and Peed, set at $4,500 each.
