Six Individuals Arrested In Cherokee County Prostitution Sting

A total of six individuals have been arrested in connection with a Prostitution Sting in Cherokee County.

According to Cherokee County Sheriff Jeff Shaver, the Criminal Investigative and Counter-Drug Division and the Centre Police Department joined forces to execute a sting operation regarding alleged prostitution in the area.

Police have arrested – 43 year old John Arthur Nutter of Rome, 28 year old Antwan Martez Washington of Gadsden, 64 year old Edwin Darrell Blythe of Gadsden, 51 year old Perry Ellis Wayne of Gadsden, 47 year old Donald Andrew Admire of Vestavia Hills and 48 year old Robert Wayne Kilgore of Sand Rock – each were charged with Prostitution and booked into the Cherokee County Detention Center.

The 2-day event resulted in several arrests. Sheriff Shaver wished to extend his appreciation to all the agencies involved in carrying out the operation including the District Attorney’s Office, Alabama Fire Marshall’s Office, Anniston Police Department, Alcohol Beverage Control Board, and the Rainbow City Police Department.
