ABCNews.com(CARDEDEU, Spain) — No, planes do not typically land on the road in Spain. But a car passenger captured a small plane doing just that on the side of a highway near Cardedeu in Catalonia.
The odd touchdown happened on Saturday. According to authorities on the scene, the plane made an emergency landing after experiencing mechanical issues.
No one was injured, but it did confuse some drivers. Local police are still investigating the incident.
