SPENCER JAMES “JAMIE” DAVIS,  age 84 of Centre passed away Wednesday July 8th at Redmond Medical Center. 

Funeral services will be 3 PM Sunday July 12th at Perry Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. George Cobb officiating, burial will follow in Howell Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM until 3 PM Sunday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers include Richard Lindsey, Rich Lindsey, Brent Tidwell, Jimbo Weaver, Jeff Bedwell, John Starr, Burk Williams, Johnny Williams, Knox Wilson.

Honorary Pallbearers: Robert Almond, John Olin Black, Ray Carroll, Dale Davis, Sid Davis, David Holcomb, Paul Holcomb, Darrell Law, Michael Lockridge, Buddy Minshew, Bill Perry, Broderick Smith, Keith Wilson, Wilbur Pruitt. 

Survivors include wife, Margaret Anthony Davis of Centre; daughters, Cindy Ann Davis and Lori Michelle Davis both of Centre; several nieces, nephews and cousins and his loyal dog Tiger.

He was preceded in death by sisters, Faye Davis Lockridge, Edna Ruth Davis Bedwell; brothers, Randolph, Hubert, Harold and Earl Davis. 

Mr. Davis was a native of Cherokee County and the son of the late Claude T. and Alma Elizabeth Flynt Davis and a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church.

The family will accept flowers or memorials may be made to Howell Cemetery or Ebenezer United Methodist Church Building Fund.
