The annual Field to Fork Dinner was held this Saturday at the Hopewell Community Center on County Road 16.
That event will featured delicious farm-fresh food of all types. The special guest speaker for this year’s event was Alabama Ag Commissioner Rick Pate; WEIS Radio News had an opportunity to speak with Commissioner Pate about the venue.
The event also included a special ceremony honoring three local families (pictured below); those included the 2019 Alabama Farm of Distinction winners Hank and Shelia Richardson Owners of Dixie Green, 2019 Outstanding Young Farm Family Finalist Jamie and Lindsey Roberts of the Murphy Seed Co., the Agriculture Aviation Service of Dedication award was presented to Mr. Bobby Allred.
