“Stranger Things” cast describes what it’s like to see people dressed as their characters for Halloween

Netflix/Jackson Lee Davis(NEW YORK) — Season two of Stranger Things was perfectly timed to debut right before Halloween — and you can pretty much guarantee that today, you’ll be seeing lots of costumes involving knee socks and Eggos.

Dressing up as the show’s telekinetic character Eleven has been a popular Halloween costume since last year. But how does Millie Bobby Brown, who plays the character on the show, feel about everyone from little kids to grown men dressing up as her?

“I don’t even, like, look at it much,” she tells ABC Radio. “I see it on the Internet. I definitely see pictures, but it doesn’t bother me. People get tattoos of my face!”

Even the tattoos don’t faze her. In fact, Millie says she’s appreciative that people love the character so much.

As for her co-stars Gaten Matarazzo and Caleb McLaughlin, who play Dustin and Lucas, respectively, they think it’s cool to see Halloween costumes of their characters.

“You see a lot of Dustins just ’cause it’s easy to get the Dustin hat,” Matarazzo says.

Spotting a Lucas costume is a little more elusive, says McLaughlin, so that makes it even more special.

“I would say when I see me it’s very emotional because I rarely see me,” he says. “You know, it’s kinda hard to get my equipment, like the utility belt and the bandana. It’s just like, wow people really like Lucas.”

Sadie Sink, who joins the cast this season as the new girl, Max, is excited to become part of the pop culture zeitgeist this Halloween.

“I dunno, maybe I’ll see a couple of Max costumes this year,” she says.

Stranger Things 2 is available on Netflix now.
