Some strong thunderstorms rumbled through Cherokee County overnight, leaving behind a few isolated power outages, primarily due to downed trees.
Power to most locations has already been restored – co op crews were working to replace a broken pole on Highway 9 at the intersection of Blackwell’s Crossroads, shortly before 5:00 Friday morning, where a huge tree had taken out a three-phase line.
There were also outages reported along Highway 68.
We’ve had no reports of any damage being done to any structures as a result of the storms.
