Numerous pop-up thunderstorms rolled across the Cherokee County area over the weekend bringing high winds and some heavy rains.
High winds associated with those storms caused numerous trees to be downed which also brought down some power lines causing power outages in some locations from Forney to Ellisville. There were also a couple of reports of damage reported to Cherokee County EMA as a small shed was lifted from its foundation at a location on County Road 83 in the Moshat Community and a fertilizer shed was damaged in Ellisville.
Fortunately there were no reports of anyone being hurt or any major damage to homes.
