Introduction of severe weather threat.

THREATS: 

                   * Damaging winds up to 60 mph

                   * Large hail

The Hazardous Weather Outlook is for the counties served by the National Weather Service office in Birmingham. 

DAY ONE – Outlook through Tonight. Minor river flooding will continue across the lower portions of the Black Warrior and Tombigbee river basins. Please see flood statements for specific details. 

DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN – Tuesday through Sunday. There is a chance for severe storms on Wednesday from noon to 9 PM mainly along and southeast of Interstate 59. Damaging winds up to 60 mph and quarter size hail appear to be the main threats, but a tornado or two could also occur. Minor river flooding will continue across the lower portions of the Black Warrior and Tombigbee river basins. SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT 

Activation of storm spotters and emergency management may be needed on Wednesday. Please follow all local, state, and CDC guidelines in regards to travel.
