A Chattooga County woman was killed in a two-vehicle accident, taking place in Bartow County on Monday afternoon.
Reports show that 18 year old Cassidy Alexis Gardner of Summerville was fatally injured when her Volkswagen was hit by a Chevy Blazer being driven by 31 year old Joseph Lee Wooten from Adairsville; according to law enforcement Wooten’s vehicle crossed Highway 411 and struck the vehicle driven by Gardner – who was killed on impact.
Police have charged Wooten with 1st Degree Vehicular Homicide, in addition to Violation of the Georgia Controlled Substances Act, DUI and Failure to Yield Right-of-Way.
