The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports that one person was fatally injured in a two vehicle crash occurring Sunday morning in Etowah County.

That accident took place just after 8:00am, when a 2005 Nissan Armada struck a Reese City Fire Truck from behind.  That fire department vehicle had reportedly responded to provide  assistance for another wreck which occurred a short time earlier on I-59, approximately six miles north of Gadsden.

A passenger in the Nissan was pronounced dead at the scene meanwhile the driver and two other passengers were transported for treatment.  None of their names have been released.

No one else was hurt during the crash.

That wreck remains under investigation by Alabama State Troopers.
