Firefighters responded to a report of a structure fire at a residence on County Road 49 in Sand Rock early Sunday morning. According to Sand Rock Assistant Fire Chief Cody Biggs the call came in at 5:50 a.m. and as he arrived on the scene the home was already fully engulfed in flames.
The Sand Rock, Tucker’s Chapel and Leesburg Fire Departments all responded to the scene. Biggs said that there were no injuries, Cherokee County Fire/Arson Investigator Jordan Kelly was called to the scene.
The exact cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
