On Tuesday night, firefighters were dispatched to the scene of a house fire at 2140 Holland-Chattoogaville Road at around 10:00.
According to reports the homeowner, Robert Armstrong, told a responding deputy with the Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office that he knew who burned the house down, saying that he had problems with squatters staying in the residence, which was abandoned.
Armstrong was able to identify possible suspects to law enforcement.
The structure was considered a total loss and that blaze remains under investigation by the Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office.
