Sylvania girls upset fourth-ranked Collinsville, 62-58

COLLINSVILLE – Sylvania rallied from an early eight-point deficit to take a 62-58 victory at fourth-ranked Collinsville in the Class 2A subregionals on Wednesday.

Kenadie Lee led the Lady Rams with 25 points, including four 3-pointers. Ambriel Stopyale tossed in 12 points. Leianna Currie collected three treys and had 11 points. Kylie Morge and Anna Farmer both finished with seven points.

Hadley Hamilton topped the Lady Panther scorers with 16 points, including four 3-pointers. Tyla Tatum tallied 13 points. Caroline Brannon contributed 10 points. Emma Terrell connected on three treys and had nine points. Kayla Beene had a pair of 3-pointers and finished with six points.

Collinsville built a 14-6 advantage but Sylvania rallied to cut its deficit to a point at halftime, 30-29. The Lady Rams took a 45-41 lead at the end of the third quarter and held on down the stretch for the final.

The Lady Panthers’ season ends at 26-5.
