A two-vehicle wreck on I-59 in Etowah County, involving a car and an 18-wheeler, claimed one life on Thursday morning, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency accident report.
The victim, 41 year old Takeo Kaburagi of Whitehouse, Tennessee was reportedly traveling on I-59 near Attalla, when his 2017 Nissan Altima crossed the median and crashed head-on into a 2014 Freightliner tractor trailer.
Kaburagi was pronounced dead at the scene.
That accident remains under investigation by Alabama State Troopers.
