The 4th Annual “Val’s Ride Motorcycle Rally” is Set For This Saturday

The 4th annual “Val’s Ride Motorcycle Rally” is set for this Saturday (May 13th).  That event is held in memory of former City of Centre Police Chief Val Courtney with proceeds going to the Val Courtney Memorial Scholarship Fund and to Victims of Domestic Violence.

Courtney, along with Odyssey owner Eva Gardner, taught self defense classes to women for a number of years and having worked domestic violence cases over the course of his career in law enforcement, was a firm believer in doing everything possible to keep every woman from ever becoming a victim.

Everyone will meet up at the Odyssey Fitness Center on the Chesnut Bypass at 9:00am with kick-stands up at 10:00.  The trip will be to Little River Canyon with the first bike back in at noon – then everyone will enjoy lunch and live music by Larry Sanford.  There will be door prizes and fun for all ages – all for a good cause.

Sign up at the Odyssey Health Spa & Fitness Center, phone (256) 927-2772 to find out more
