The ADPH Reports COVID-19 Cases Continue to Rapidly Rise Across the State

Coronavirus numbers in the state continue to surge.

The Alabama Department of Public Health data issued December 10th at 10:00am showed the state has had a total of 284,922 COVID-19 cases since March 13th, with 4,735 new cases going from Wednesday into Thursday.

Those numbers reflect a backlog of about 470 cases recorded from October 5th – December 7th.  The state also added 49 deaths, some dating back several weeks, bringing that total to 4,034.

The ADPH reported 2,111 COVID hospitalizations Wednesday, another record high.  The ADPH reports 174,805 Alabamians have thus far recovered from the virus.
