The ADPH Reports More Than 4,400 New Cases of COVID-19 Statewide

Alabama saw another huge increase in the number of new COVID-19 cases statewide, going from Wednesday into Thursday.

The Alabama Department of Public Health data released on Thursday morning, showed the addition of 4,406 cases – which brings the total number of cases reported since March 13th, to 361,226.  The state also added 53 deaths (some dating back several weeks) bringing that total to 4,827 and 2,813 individuals are hospitalized with COVID-19.

Meanwhile, in Cherokee County, according to the ADPH, we’ve seen a total of 1,414 cases of COVID-19 since March – 959 confirmed, 455 listed as probable.

Countywide the ADPH has posted a revised total of 22 deaths with 19 of those confirmed as COVID-related and 3 now being listed as probable, down from the previous number of 4.
