The ADPH Reports Rising COVID-19 Numbers

Alabama has added more than 3,000 new COVID-19 cases for the second day in a row – that, according to tracking from the Alabama Department of Public Health.

On Tuesday, August 3rd, the ADPH reported 3,307 new cases of coronavirus.  Wednesday figures showed the state had an increase of 3,399 being driven in part by the addition of almost 1,400 new cases from 3 counties.  Mobile County added 665 cases while Baldwin had 315. And Jefferson County posted 416 new cases.

Since March of 2020, Alabama has had 595,816 COVID-19 cases with 11,561 deaths.  Hospitalizations continue to rise as well.  Wednesday, the ADPH reported that 1,694 people were hospitalized with COVID-19 – up from 179 a month ago.
