The Cherokee County Warriors varsity golf team achieved their first victory this season with a score of 173 on Tuesday at Cherokee County Country Club.
Piedmont and Jacksonville tied for second with 177, and the Spring Garden Panthers brought in a 205.
Caden Garrett carded the lowest score for the Warriors with 41. Stone Alexander was right behind with 42, after chipping in for an Eagle on hole #9. Paul Wynn shot 44, JR Young shot 46, and Evan Atkison shot 53. Cedar Bluff’s Nick Sawyer brought in score of 39.
Piedmont’s Cross Wilson had the low score of the day with 38, with teammate Trevor McCarley shooting 40. Jacksonville’s Hunter Sanford brought in a score of 40 also.
