According to Chief Kirk Blankenship, Thursday Centre Police Officers Riley Combs, Bobby Winters and Brody Moses responded to the Weiss Lake Lodge in response to a tip of possible drug activity coming from one of the rooms.

When officers arrived and made contact with the occupants of the room, one of them attempted to flee the area on foot, following a brief foot chase the  subject was quickly apprehended. Two others who were also inside the room were detained. Officers noticed in plain view several items of drug paraphernalia laying inside the hotel room.

Officers Will Clark and Matt Peek Peek responded to the scene along with Leesburg Officers Joe Johnson and Hanae Mcginnis and processed the suspects room, during the process officers discovered several items of drug paraphernalia to include plastic baggies, scales and glass smoking pipes. Officers also discovered a small quantity of methamphetamine from inside the suspects room.

Marty Jay Estes from Acworth,GA was charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Fleeing and Attempting to Elude and Tampering with Physical Evidence Crystal Alayne Millwood from Acworth, GA was charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Jessica Lynn Morgan from Leesburg was charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
