Three Arrested on Drug Charges Following Traffic Stop

Three Chattooga County men are facing drug charges, following a routine traffic stop on the Martha Berry Highway in Rome Monday.

According to Floyd County Jail records a Rome Police Officer pulled over a vehicle driven by 24 year old Xavier Maurice Martin near the Old Summerville Road intersection for making an improper lane change, with a search of the car being conducted after the officer detected a strong odor of marijuana.

A felony amount of marijuana, a digital scale, and four THC wax cigarillos were recovered.  According to the report, everyone in the vehicle denied that the items belonged to them.

Martin, Armand Dekell Ford, age 19, and 34 year old Roy Sanford Price Jr., were all charged with possession of more than an ounce of marijuana, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of a controlled substance.
