Three Arrested on Drug Charges in Cherokee County Tuesday

Three people were jailed on drug charges in Cherokee County on Tuesday.

Andre Smith, age 29 of Gadsden was charged with the Possession of Dangerous Drugs (two counts), with the Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (two counts), and one count of Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree; Gregory Owens, 56 of Leesburg, charged with Possession of Dangerous Drugs, the Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree, and Failure to Appear/Comply/Pay while Terry Dixon, age 42 of Centre, charged with Possession of Dangerous Drugs and Leaving the Scene of an Accident.

All three arrests were made by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office.

Dixon was booked in after 7:00pm – and bonded out approximately three hours later – his bond amount wasn’t available; meanwhile, both Smith and Owens remain in the Cherokee County Detention Center with bond amounts having been set at $6,500 and $3,400 respectively.  They were both arrested around 10:00 that night.
