A Thursday afternoon complaint called in to the Ft Payne Police Department resulted in three Ft Payne residents being arrested on drug charges.

At about 4:45 that afternoon officers responded to a report of loud noise – and possible underage drinking – at the North Pointe Apartment Complex in Building B.

Upon arrival, police saw a substantial amount of a controlled substance in plain sight – and three occupants of the apartment were then placed under arrest on charges of Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Those taken into custody included – 35 year old Sammy Edward Simpson, 39 year old Chrystal Dawn Cook and 30 year old Brandy Nicole Rothell.
