Rape - Johnson

Three Gadsden residents have all entered guilty pleas – in connection with the sexual torture of a 23 year mentally challenged woman.

In August of 2011, the victim was found unclothed and chained to a bed in a residence on Forrest Avenue.  Homeowners, 54 year old Rex Maurice Johnson and 43 year old Toni Renea Johnson – were indicted that December on two counts each of first degree rape and first degree sodomy – in addition to sexual torture.

As part of their plea agreement, the pair has been sentenced to 20 years in prison.

28 year old Steven William Holder – who also lived at the home – has pled guilty to two counts of second degree assault and to sexual misconduct; he was also given a 20 year sentence.

The abuse has allegedly been going on for several months prior to police finding the victim, after receiving a phone call reporting the situation.
