Three Individuals Arrested On Drug Charges In DeKalb County

Three individuals have been arrested in DeKalb County following an investigation to drug activity at a residence on County Road 568 in the Whitton/New Harmony area.

Sheriff Jimmy Harris said that DeKalb County Drug Task force and Geraldine Police Officers went to the residence to serve a felony warrant on 43 year old Edna Renee Stapler of Albertville.

When Officers and Drug Task Force agents got to the door they noticed a strong odor coming from the residence – at which time they secured the home, obtained a search warrant and after further search they found an active meth lab, materials to make meth and methamphetamine in the residence.

drugs52 year old Dana Paul Bearden and 46 year old Jennifer Beth Rogers, 46 both of Albertville were arrested and charged with Trafficking Illegal Drugs, Unlawful Manufacturing of a Controlled Substance 1st, and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

ArrestStapler was also arrested for the felony warrant, Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

All three individuals were transported to the DeKalb County Detention Center were they await bond.

The Geraldine Officers and the Drug Task force did a great job on noticing the strong odor coming from the house and getting these individuals into custody.
