Three People Injured In Two Vehicle Crash In Cedar Bluff On Thursday/UPDATED

One person was airlifted and two others were taken to the hospital by EMS ground units following a two vehicle crash on Alabama Highway 68 East in front of Harton’s Grocery in Cedar Bluff on Thursday afternoon.

The accident involved a Ford SUV and Chevy s-10 truck. Cedar Bluff Police and Firefighters, the Gaylesville Fire Department, Cherokee County Rescue Squad personnel and Floyd EMS all responded to the scene.

Cedar Bluff Police Chief Chris O’Neal said that a  7 year old male was airlifted by a Survival Flight Medical Helicopter to Children’s Hospital in Birmingham and a 17 year old juvenile in addition to 53 year old Teresa Oakes were taken to Redmond Regional Medical Center in Rome for treatment of unspecified injuries.

All were residents of Centre.

The accident remains under investigation.
