A three-vehicle accident near Menlo, in Chattooga County, snarled traffic for an extended period of time Tuesday afternoon.
That wreck, involving a Toyota, a Volkswagen and a Dodge Durango, took place just outside the Menlo City Limits near the intersection of Sawmill Road and Highway 48.
According to law enforcement on the scene the Volkswagen was attempting to turn and when the Toyota came to a stop it was rear-ended by the Dodge. All three vehicles received considerable damage.
The names of the drivers have yet to be released and the accident remains under investigation by the Georgia State Patrol.
