Information has now been released regarding the arrest of an Etowah County man on Child Pornography charges over the weekend.
According to Sheriff Todd Entrekin, Walter Donald Edwards, age 69 of Gadsden, was taken into custody Sunday morning after authorities responded to a report of a missing juvenile – the parents found the missing girl at Edwards’ residence on Trailwood Lane in the Tidmore Bend community.
Investigators executed a search warrant at the home and discovered child pornography.
Edwards was charged with Sexual Abuse of a Child under the Age of 12, the Production of Obscene Matter and Possession of Child Pornography.
He remains in the Etowah County Detention Center with bond set at $150,000.
