Total Confirmed COVID-19 Cases Across Alabama Reaches More Than 9,000 to This Point

The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases across the state has topped 9,000 – currently the ADPH COVID-19 Data and Surveillance Dashboard shows 9,046 cases – with 369 confirmed deaths resulting from the illness.

According to that latest Alabama Department of Public Health data – 1,188 individuals have thus far been hospitalized, and the number tested stands at 116, 319.

The ADPH also lists Cherokee County as having had 18 confirmed cases out of 357 people being tested.

In surrounding counties confirmed cases are considerably higher than they are locally – but that goes hand-in-hand with a larger number of tests being conducted – however, Cherokee County still has a considerably lower percentage rate than those areas.

DeKalb County has had 124 positive results out of 1,368 tests administered there – while in Etowah County there are 161 confirmed cases following a total of 2,428 tests; and Calhoun County has 120 confirmed cases after a total of 1,935 people being tested.
