Traffic Stop Leads To Drug Arrest In DeKalb County

A Sunday afternoon traffic stop by DeKalb County Drug Task Force Agents assisted by Rainsville and Powell Police resulted in the arrest of several individuals on drug charges.

According to DeKalb County Sheriff Jimmy Harris, officers noticed a strong smell coming from the vehicle and a subsequent search of the vehicle turned up a bag that contained five one-pot meth labs, methamphetamine and materials for making meth.

Feb 2nd Press release pic 231 year old Albert Scott Comfort of Dutton, 44 year old Tracey Lee Mars of Rainsville, and 30 year old Steven Michael Allert of Scottsboro, were arrested and charged with Unlawful Manufacturing of Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance, and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

All three were transported to the DeKalb County Detention Center were they remain awaiting bond.

1Deputies and Fyffe Police officers went to a residence in Fyffe to serve a warrant on 42 year old Misty Jackson of Fyffe.

And when deputies and officers arrived at the residence they were advised there were drugs in the house. Deputies, Officers and Drug Task Force searched the residence and found materials for making meth, marijuana, and a glass smoking pipe.

Jackson was arrested for the warrant, charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance, and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

38 year old Misty Dawn Stiefel of Fyffe was arrested and charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Both were transported to the DeKalb County Detention Center were they remain awaiting bond.
