Trion, Georgia Man Arrested Following Brief Pursuit In Cedar Bluff

Deputies arrested Trion, Georgia man on Saturday night following a brief pursuit in Cedar Bluff.

Deputy Dustin Huggins spotted a vehicle speeding on County Road 92 and attempted to stop the driver, however he refused to stop and, ran into a ditch, then continued to flee.

The suspect turned into a trailer park and had to stop at the end of the road, where he was taken into custody by deputies.

37 year old Reginal Eric Dowdy was booked into the Detention Center just after 10:00 p.m. after begin charged with DUI, Improper Lane Change, Failing to display Insurance, No Plainly Visible Tag, No Seatbelt, Improper Lights, Failing to Signal, Attempting to Elude & Reasonable/Prudent Speed.

Dowdy was transported to the Cherokee County Detention Center on charges of driving under the influence and attempting to elude.
