Triple Murder Suspect Makes His First Court Appearance In Talladega County Circuit Court

The Munford teenager accused of stabbing and killing his mother and twin brothers appeared in a courtroom Friday.

16-year-old Landon Durham stood in front of a circuit court judge inside the Talladega County Courthouse.

This was his first court appearance in this capital murder case.

The appearance proceeding was brief lasting less than ten minutes.

A group of about twenty people, presumably family members were the only ones inside the courtroom aside from law enforcement, court staff, and attorneys.

Durham is accused of stabbing three family members inside their Munford home Tuesday.

He was arrested in Cherokee County the next day.

A preliminary hearing will be held Feb. 28, where the judge will decide whether there is enough probable cause in the case to go to a grand jury.
