Troopers and Emergency Personnel Have Busy Wednesday in Cherokee County

First responders were kept busy with accidents across the county on Wednesday, including a single-vehicle rollover on County Road 22 near the Spring Creek Bridge around 12:30pm.

The driver of a 2002 Ford, listed on that Alabama Law Enforcement Agency accident report as a male resident of Cleveland, Georgia, had to be extricated from the vehicle.  No additional information regarding his injuries was available. The Spring Creek Fire Department, Floyd EMS, Cherokee County Rescue Squad, Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office Deputies and Alabama State Troopers responded.

We also had a report of a single vehicle accident on County Road 58 in the Tuckers Chapel Community near Barrett’s Chapel Church just before 4:30 that afternoon, with the Tucker’s Chapel Fire Department, Floyd EMS and Alabama State Troopers responding.

Reports indicated that a small child was evaluated by medics on the scene for a small bump on the head; there were no other injuries reported.

Trooper reports also indicated the female driver of a 2001 Chevrolet, listed as a resident of Rome, Georgia was hurt in a single vehicle accident on Alabama Highway 9 at around 10:20 that night.  No additional information was available regarding the extent of her injuries.

Those wrecks remain under investigation by Alabama State Troopers.
