Troopers Respond to Four Separate Wrecks in Cherokee County on Thursday

Thursday, Alabama State Troopers responded to four separate auto accidents locally – with two involving injuries.

According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency accident report, two people were hurt in a two-vehicle wreck on County Road 107 in Gaylesville around 5:00pm – with one of the vehicles, a 2013 Ford, leaving the roadway.  Reportedly, both the driver – a female resident of Mentone and a passenger – were transported to a nearby hospital, where they were treated and released.   That wreck remains under investigation.

Approximately two hours prior, at around 3:00, the driver of a 2003 Chevrolet, listed on the report as a male resident of Leesburg was injured in a single-vehicle wreck on County Road 50.  That mishap also remains under investigation.

Two other accidents, one at 4:00 that afternoon on Alabama Highway 9, and one that took place on County Road 16 at 6:50pm, fortunately did not involve any injuries.
