Troopers Respond to Two Accidents with Injuries in Cherokee County on Monday

Alabama State Troopers responded to two separate auto accidents involving injuries in the county on Monday afternoon.

The first took place around 1:45 on County Road 22 – involving a 1999 Jeep driven by a female resident of Cave Spring, Georgia; the vehicle left the road and struck several  trees near the state line.  The McCords Fire Department and Floyd EMS also responded.

The second occurred a short time later on Alabama Highway 35 near Brad’s One Stop in Gaylesville at 4:20pm.  That collision involved a 2008 Ford being driven by a male resident of Ft Payne who was injured and a 2009 Chevrolet driven by a male resident of Gaylesville, who was unhurt.  The Gaylesville Fire Department and Floyd EMS also responded to the scene.

No information was available regarding the condition of those listed on those reports as being hurt.

Both wrecks remain under investigation by troopers.
