Troopers Work Two Accidents Involving Injuries on Saturday Evening in Cherokee County

Two people were injured in two separate accidents – occurring within just minutes of each other – on Saturday evening in Cherokee County.

According to Alabama Law Enforcement Agency accident reports the first wreck took place at 6:10pm on County Road 19, some ten miles south of Centre involving a 2007 Toyota and a 2005 Dodge.

Both the driver of the Toyota, Zachery Haney of Gadsden and the driver of the Dodge, Angel Woodall, age 17 of Cedar Bluff, were uninjured; however, a passenger in Woodall’s vehicle, 18 year old Tyler Hooper, also of Cedar Bluff, was listed as being hurt in the mishap.

The second accident, occurring at 6:15pm on County Road 71, three miles south of Centre – involved a 2013 Ford driven by 39 year old Jennifer Hensley of Gadsden – and a 2001 Ford, being driven by 57 year old Bobby McDaniel of Centre .

Hensley was listed on the report as being hurt with McDaniel escaping injury.

No information regarding the extent of injuries suffered by either Hooper or Hensley – was immediately available.

Those accidents remain under investigation by Alabama State Troopers.
