Troopers Work Two Separate Accidents with Injuries in DeKalb County on Wednesday

Alabama State Troopers worked two separate single-vehicle accidents – each involving two injuries – in DeKalb County on Wednesday.  The first took place around 1:30 that afternoon on County Road 812, approximately six miles north of Ider – involving a 2016 Nissan, being driven by 51 year old Robert O’Neill of Higdon.  Both he and a passenger, Hugh Burnett, age 55, also from Higdon, were listed as being hurt in the wreck.

The second accident occurred on County Road 51 approximately a mile north of Collinsville at 6:10pm, and involved a 1976 GMC, driven by a 21 year old Gadsden resident Christopher Bailey.  Reports listed both Bailey and the passenger, Victoria Lackey, age 19 of Ohatchee as being injured in the mishap.

No additional information was available regarding the extent of injuries suffered by any of those involved, and both accidents remain under investigation by Alabama State Troopers.
