Trump Hotel in DC Spray-Painted with 'Black Lives Matter' Message

OLIVIER DOULIERY/AFP/Getty Images(WASHINGTON) — Messages of “Black Lives Matter” and “No Justice No Peace” were spray-painted next to an entrance for the Trump International Hotel in Washington, D.C. on Sunday.

Video posted on social media appeared to show a man tagging the building while some onlookers watched, and at least one person called police. The man appeared to walk away from the scene before police arrived.

The Metropolitan Police Department said no suspect had been identified as of Sunday afternoon, according to ABC News affiliate WJLA-TV.

Plywood boards were later put out to cover the graffiti next to the entrance located on 12th Street NW.

The Republican presidential candidate’s new hotel, which Donald Trump has pledged will get him on Pennsylvania Avenue “one way or another,” had a soft opening in September and will officially open later this month.
